Web Services Team Lead

NewGen is seeking a is seeking a team lead to manage the Enterprise Web Services (EWS) Operations and Engineering group in support of a Customs and Border Protection mission critical project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the incoming workload across the team and ensure the contract deliverables are met. The EWS team lead will brief the Federal team lead on a daily basis and represent the EWS team in meetings. The EWS team lead will prepare and present Change Requests (CRs) at the required OIT Change Boards and coordinate EWS coverage for any EDME Change Requests requiring EWS assistance. 

Review and assign Remedy tickets – 25%
Manage the EWS team work load – 25%
Create and present EWS change requests – 20%
Provide weekly status reports to Federal team lead. – 15%
Manage EWS on call rotation and track vacations – 15%



REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent oral and written skills – 5 years
  • Ability to manage technical teams in both an operational and engineering environment. – 10 years
  • General knowledge of technical disciplines such as WebLogic, WebSphere. – 5 years
  • Ability to manage and assign a high volume of tasks in a fast paced environment. – 5 years
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. – 5 years
  • Experience using Atlassian JIRA, Kanban and Confluence. – 2 years
  • Experience using BMC Remedy – 2 years


PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Previous experience managing a Web Services team – 5 years
  • Web Services support in the Cloud – 2 years
  • PMP Certified – 5 years
  • Previous CBP experience – 5 years
