Position Overview:
Our team is designing a deployable hardware and software application ecosystem that performs integrated operations combining two existing standalone systems including web applications and custom OS installers.
As a team lead you must be able to provide high-level vision and direction for 2 other engineers to meet task and/or mission objectives based on project-phase requirements or operational needs.
Your role will be client-facing; technical status reports are provided to the gov’t monthly, and when asked for by the customer. New system requirements are provided by the customer from time to time and need to be translated into actionable tasks for your team.
Furthermore, you will develop and manage custom OS installations and configurations for deployable systems, as well as manage development networks, Jenkins CI/CM systems, Nexus artifact repository, VMWare environment, and Gradle-builds.

Required Qualifications:
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related discipline. Four years of additional experience can serve in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in system engineering or a related field.
  • Understanding of 802.11 (WIFI) network security and tools available on Linux platforms (including Kali)
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, and Git, Gradle, Vagrant, Packer, or Nexus Repository for CI/CM and automated builds
  • Proficiency on Linux command-line (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Functional knowledge of network protocols and ability to debug connectivity issues using Wireshark, TCPdump, Tshark, etc
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab for task management and documentation

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using SSH, IPtables, and Virsh
  • Knowledge of AP/SSID, BSSID, WPA_supplicant, aircrack suite
  • Working knowledge of configuring and managing virtual machines using ESXi, Libvirt, QEMU, KVM
  • Functional knowledge of MQTT, SNMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, POP3
  • Familiarity with network video recording - Milestone VMS, MJPEG, H.264
  • Familiarity with configuring Mikrotik Router OS (via Winbox or terminal)
