Description:

Leidos Engineering, LLC is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm as an AV System Designer in their Advanced Communications Systems (ACS) Group. The ideal candidate must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, interact with other design team members, construction personnel, and clients. This position requires excellent technical and field skills relative to project details associated with the facility and the systems to be installed. Job Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Walled Lake, MI

Job Duties
• Work with clients and the design team to convert building/program concepts into ready for construction engineering details – floor plans, device details, logical schematics, elevations, rough-ins, etc.
• Evaluate manufacturer products and design solutions around product requirements.
• Produce engineering cost estimates, equipment lists, and bid specifications.
• Assist with field logistics, deployment, and installations.
• Help to establish quality standards.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements
• 5 years of industry experience, with the ideal candidate having 10-plus years’ experience in the audio-visual field designing and engineering large-scale AV presentation,. Visualization, multimedia, video conferencing, and control systems. associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Knowledge of the current AV industry, manufacturer products, facility design principles, and applicable industry standards and codes.
• Candidate must possess engineering skills needed to convert complex design concepts into a deliverable product.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, direct and collaborate with other design team members, and demonstrate proficiency in engineering details.
• Experience in AutoCad, MSProject, Visio, MS Word and Excel
• Experience with structured cabling, AV cabling, audio systems, etc.
• Actively pursuing or hold a CTS-D certification from Infocomm International
• Crestron programming experience is preferred
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and project documentation skills.
• Military security clearance is a plus, but not required.
